Fun! Fun! Fun!

This week has been lots and lots of fun!

Let's see... for starters we went to the zoo! Elizabeth isn't even 1 year old yet, and she's already been twice (the first time when she was only 3 weeks old). This time she was wide awake ALMOST the whole time, and really did seem to enjoy looking at the animals, along with all the little school kids who were running around LIKE little animals. Mommy was also happy that daddy had taken a day off from work to enjoy the day as a family, especially since mommy was beginning to feel like a caged animal after a few weeks of being a bit couped up in a new place-lol! The day was beautiful with a cool breeze and just what we needed. And Elizabeth looked so adorable in the strawberry sweater, which was a Christmas gift from gr-grandpa H. and gr-grandma Bea, which is finally fitting just right!

Next, we enjoyed our first baby signs class. It was so sweet to watch Elizabeth interact with other babies, which is not something we get to do all that often. She was such a sweet heart, and she definitely earned the award as "teacher's pet" by continuously crawling to the teacher and giving big smiles/flirts and blowing air at her, which was her way of requesting that the teacher blow more bubbles. I guess she is signing already -- the teacher was very impressed ;)

We wrapped up the weekend with the Summer Sizzler, Vassil's company picnic/carnival. If you go back to one of my very first posts, you will see that this was actually Elizabeth's second time to the carnival, albeit in utero the first time. She loved looking at all the bright shiny things and all the people running around. The picture with her and daddy is a great example of the face she makes all the time now when she sees something new that fascinates her... she makes that little "o" with her mouth, and makes this breathy "Whooooa!" And seeing how just about everything is amazing to her, this is a face we see a lot! So adorable!!!

At any rate, we had a lot of fun this week and KNOW the coming weeks will be even better with a trip to DC to see family, followed by a busy week with Nana and Aunt Maddie back home. Elizabeth and I can't wait!!!!

P.S. The last picture is of our new house.

P.S.S. Thanks to everyone who sent us KU Championship t-shirts and other goodies (grandparents H. & P. & my brother Matthew! That was super thoughtful and we've had fun wearing our tees around here to rub it in!!)
