Aren't baby nicknames funny? Before Elizabeth was born, we had planned on calling her "Eliza." However, now that she is born, we pretty much call her everything but that.
Lately, she's been Ms. Magoo. This comes from the fact that mommy often thinks Elizabeth looks just like the cartoon character Mr. Magoo (and with her receding hair line and big cheeks, I'm sure you can see why).
She is also often called My Love, Lovie, or Lovie-pooh. Monkey, Snuggle-Bug, Cuddle-Bug, and Angel are also popular in our household. And then in Bulgarian there's the ever popular Bebcho, Me Munche, & Princeska. Another favorite has been "almond eyes" (which is the shape, not color of her gorgeous eyes). To top it off, although mommy absolutely forbid daddy from calling Elizabeth "Lizzy" (as I've never liked that name), he's been doing just that, and believe it or not, it is actually growing on me.
Along with nicknames for Elizabeth, there's also nicknames for other things. When Nana was here for a visit, she accidentally said poo-choo for poo-poo. For some reason, we all found this absolutely hilarious (blame it on the exhaustion). Since then, any sort of BM has been referred to as a poo-choo. Not only that, but at times, Mommy & Daddy have even used this term as a nickname for Elizabeth... "Come here my little poo-choo." Believe it or not, this has also evolved, and don't be surprised when you hear one of us refer to her as our little poo-chi-chi.
