It's a Boy!

We are very excited to announce the birth of our son, Liam Anton, who was born June 11, at 12:45 pm. He weighed 8 lbs, 13.5 ozs. and was 21 inches long.

Liam is a very healthy boy, scoring a 9 and 9 on both Apgar scores! Please keep our family in your prayers, and for my successful recovery in the weeks ahead!

We will have more details to come, but here are a few pictures of our sweet boy!

Above: Our new family of four! Elizabeth is SO excited to be a big sister! The first thing she said, "Haaaaaave him!"
Above: The sunflowers were a gift from Nana and Auntie-M... you know he will be a Kansas boy at heart!
Liam has LOTS of dark, brown hair... and LOVES to sleep and sleep!
Liam ALWAYS has his hand up to his face. In fact, he was born with his right hand up at his face, and has a suck-blister on his right hand from lots of sucking in utero--how cute is that?!?!

How cute is this boy?!?!? So far he has a very quiet, sweet disposition. When returning him from a trip to the nursery, one nurse said he was "the perfect gentlemen... setting an example for the other babies" and another nurse said something to the same effect!

A smile? It is SO sweet to watch the faces he makes when he's asleep! Such peace!
Check out those lips! I LOVE his lips!!! And all the pouty faces he makes with them!!!

Our little lamb.... what a blessing from God! This was Elizabeth's lamb, which she let Liam borrow while in the hospital!
Proud papa... I have a picture of Vassil holding Elizabeth in much the same manner (talk about Deja Vu!) Looking at this pic also made me realize just how much Liam looks like early pictures of Elizabeth!

Elizabeth is a very energetic and excited big sister! Nana and Aunt Maddie have been watching her while we've been away, and while she is VERY excited for baby Liam... when asked if she wanted to go meet her new brother, her reply, "No, I wanna go to Marbles!" (the local children's museum).

Here is the big sister checking out her little brother... I think this conversation was abut being gentle! Poor boy! He is DEFINITELY going to have to be tough with big sister Elizabeth around--lol!

And here he is all packed up and ready for his trip home! The blanket was hand made and embroidered by my mom... with little lambs!

As you can see, our family is TRULY, TRULY blessed! More to come...
