Today Elizabeth had her 4 month check up. Here's what we learned:-Height: 26 inches (97 percentile)
-Weight: 13 lbs, 6 oz (55 percentile)
These stats confirm what I've already figured out; Elizabeth is a long and lean baby!
The doctor was also surprised with how active she was, and reaching all her milestones and even then some. And Elizabeth seemed to be making sure the doctor knew just how active and advanced she was by showing off all her skills. While testing her on her tummy, Elizabeth flipped over. While listening to her heart, Elizabeth grabbed the stethoscope and began shaking it. While getting a physical exam, Elizabeth proceeded to nibble on her toes. While talking to her, she began razzing.
The doctor told us we had better baby proof the house now because it won't be long before she's on the go! Before leaving the little patient, she even added, "You're parents are in big trouble! By the time I see you next you'll be swinging from the chandeliers."
When we went to check out we ran into Rachel Pittman from Bethesda (the church we joined when we first moved here). She had two small children with her... I couldn't believe it! Little baby Kirby who was once a tiny infant attending class with us, was a total big boy now, and little did we know she'd had another! It is amazing how time flies in just a blink of an eye! Rachel and her husband Stan (and their two boys) are getting ready to move to China to serve as missionaries indefinitely! Wow! What amazing faith and obedience! We will definitely be praying for their journey and hope we can stay in better touch this time around! After all, Elizabeth would love to have friends to visit all the way in China!
