A Week of Wacky Weather: From Flurries to Flowers

Here's how our week started off...

MONDAY: Highs in the 30's; 3'' of snow, 2 hour work delay for daddy, schools canceled or delayed. Elizabeth enjoyed getting to use her furry pink snow boots for the snowy weather and making snow angels.

TUESDAY: Sunny, highs in the 40's, snow quickly melting. Thankfully, Elizabeth's fall/winter wardrobe still fits!

WEDNESDAY: Partly sunny; highs in the upper 50's; snow completely melted. After a very, very crazy morning... we opted to finish off the day with some inside play. Elizabeth finally got some use out of this rocking horse (which had been the big ticket item that Santa brought for Christmas, which Elizabeth was terrified of until this week).

THURSDAY: Partly Sunny; Highs in the 60's.

After a morning at the OB (everything is looking great, BTW), Elizabeth enjoyed some shopping with mommy... then back home for some more playtime inside. Of course, Elizabeth doesn't mind staying inside one bit... in fact, her new favorite thing to do is to hide "inside" things... as in this fort pictured here (or under bar stools, behind curtains, or her new favorite place, inside the kitchen pantry--see previous post).

FRIDAY: Sunny; Highs in the 70's; Spring wardrobe. Enjoyed a walk around the neighborhood with Wyatt and Elizabeth in our new double stroller; that evening, a nice dinner on the porch. Mommy spotted her first mosquito and dandelion of the season.

SATURDAY: Sunny; Highs in the 80's; Spring wardrobe, but wishing we had a summer wardrobe. After a quick run to the library, we enjoyed time at the park and a stroll around one of our favorite lakes to feed the ducks/geese... then more time spent working on our garden... in fact, pictured below is our little flower child ;)

SUNDAY: Sunny; Highs in the 80's; here we are all dressed up in our spring wardrobe for Sunday School. Mommy keeps saying how fun it is to see her chubby arms and legs again... seems like they've been covered up for so long!

Anyway, that was our week of wacky weather. And with another week starting in the 80s and ending in the 40s, I'm sure we have lots more to come...

Flurries to flowers... what a crazy, fun week!
