Happy 4th

We hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July. To celebrate, our family decided to just lay low and enjoy the holiday at home with a little grilling and a few sparklers. Here are some pics!

The dress/sailor coat that Elizabeth is wearing (below) is very special, as it was handmade by my grandma for my mother when she was a girl (thus making it 3 generations old), and was no doubt worn all over Coronado, where my grandpa was stationed for most of his Navy career. Anyway, I think my grandpa and grandma would be proud of their little Sailor Girl!!!

Since we weren't going to watch the fireworks, figured we light a few sparklers in the driveway... we even let Elizabeth hold a few--maybe not the best idea, she ended up with a small, but painful little burn on her hand :(

Below: Mommy's little sailor... all crashed out after a long day! What a sweet boy he is!!! And, let us not forget, only the world's cutest Miss America

How blessed am I to have two healthy, happy, adorable children... and even more so to have been born in the good ol' Red, White, & Blue!!! God is SO good! I can't help but be reminded: to whom much is given.....
