Happy Easter!

We hope everyone is enjoying a wonderful Easter! We SO wish we could be celebrating with family! But it was nice, enjoying the day, and reflecting on God's amazing love, just the three of us.

Probably the coolest part of the day was the fact that Elizabeth said her first independent prayer! While sitting down to eat, we had forgotten to start the prayer. Occasionally, she will remind us by clasping her hands and saying, "Prayer!" This time, she just clasped her hands, started jibbering and then said, "Eliza-BETH, Mommy, Daddy, Bella... ElizaBETH... Wyatt... Sun-Bear... other people... AAAAAA-MEN!" How adorable is that?!?! And on EASTER of all days!

This morning we had fun checking out what the Easter bunny had brought for Elizabeth... along with searching for eggs! Only problem, Elizabeth quickly realized that the eggs were filled with Jelly Beans... so the egg hunt abruptly ended with her demands to open the eggs and for "More Jellies!"

Elizabeth also enjoyed coloring eggs the day before. We almost didn't get to color eggs, as every place I checked was out of the little kits. Finally, the day before I decided to run to the grocery store to see if they had any. After loading up Elizabeth, driving to the store, unloading Elizabeth, getting her into a cart... we found the kit and quickly checked out. With our ONE purchase in the cart behind us, mommy put the cart back, loaded Elizabeth back into the car, and drove ALL THE WAY HOME before realizing that the ONE THING I'd driven to the store for, I'd left in the cart... so we drove all the way back, and thankfully it was still sitting in the cart where I'd left it! In case you can't tell, my pregnancy fog is REALLY bad these days!

Anyway, coloring eggs was fun... Elizabeth helped to stir each egg in the dye and then put Sesame Street stickers on each egg. In the process she dropped one egg, and smashed another... but not too bad over all.

That same day a package arrived for Elizabeth from Nana, Grandpa Clay, and Aunt Maddie... Elizabeth had a BLAST opening and playing with the books, toys, clothes, etc. Her favorite things were the sunglasses, the little mug that you can freeze, and the little lamb. In fact, there were so many goodies, Nana just might get herself in trouble for upstaging the Easter Bunny!

Well, and of course, she loved playing in the box, too! Hours of entertainment! Literally!

Happy Easter, everyone!!!!
